An RDHAP (Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice) is a licensed dental hygienist with authorization to deliver preventive oral health care in non-traditional settings such as homes, community centers, long-term care facilities, and mobile clinics.
In many cases, you do not need a referral to schedule a hygiene visit with an RDHAP. We evaluate your oral health and coordinate with your dental provider as needed.
Your initial visit includes a comprehensive oral assessment, full hygiene cleaning tailored to your condition, risk factor review, and a personalized preventive care plan.
Most patients benefit from hygiene care every 3–6 months. However, Amber will recommend a schedule based on your individual oral health needs.
